The Channelers state that there is a minimum level of strength to make the Weave work darius_sedai Send a noteboard - 23/12/2009 06:11:55 PM
We've seen Sisters as weak as Verin and Alanna able to Travel, and Beonin makes a HUGE Gateway in KoD (2 paces by 2 paces... that makes her half as strong as Rand according to your theory) ... yet we know she's not even as strong as Moiraine... the only time we've seen a channeler say anything about someone being stronger because of a larger Gateway was Logain and he could also feel how much saidin Rand was drawing and they were at least drawing the same power. Trying to equate the size of a weave in saidar v. saidin is completely impossible. And who knows, maybe Aviendha's alternative weave will make it easier for a woman to Travel... then how do you make the determination?

I agree that it's practically impossible to determine strength - 23/12/2009 03:19:49 PM 695 Views
How convenient. And by the way, it is NOT tied to a Talent. Anyone who is strong enough, can Travel. *NM* - 23/12/2009 04:36:24 PM 410 Views
Seriously go re-read the series, how can you have missed that Traveling is a Talent? - 23/12/2009 04:54:51 PM 597 Views
