Personally, I think it should be possible to Unravel the Bore, maybe with Callandor. Basically, the Bore is nothing else than a special, gigantic Gateway drilled with the OP through the Pattern to the DO. We also know from Demandred that one can only sense the Bore in the Pit of Doom, which implies that it is some kind of weave and explains why Rand has to enter the Pit.
If the Bore is such a special Gateway-weave, it should be possible to Unravel it like you can Unravel other weaves (of course this was unknown in the AoL, which explains LTT's failure and Moridin's horror about this discovery). Alviarin demonstrated this in PoD and might provide Rand with a clue. The seals have to vanish (clear the rubble before you can build), because they basically block that the Bore is affected from Randland (while the DO can gradually make the Bore larger, especially by weakening the Pattern through chaos).
It's also interesting that only LTT/Rand and Demandred are able to block a Gateway.
However, I also think that Rand's special blood might somehow literally play a part, because of the Prophecies and since we know that blood can have some effects in the Pit of Doom (e.g. in mindtrapping someone).

A great notion, using the already set rules of Jordan's magic system, and requiring a very lengthy amount of time, thus justifying the need of armies much as the channelers at the cleansing were needed.
How much harder would it be to unravel a weave of both Saidin and Saidar? This would certainly justify the importance of Callandor and the 3 become one bits.
We will have no idea until it is written, but this is the most logical, and perhaps the most exciting speculation I've seen.
How can Rand repair the bore? More importantly, what forms the boundary of the Wheel itself?

No, the Bore was drilled through that specific thinness in the Pattern.
