I agree Khrushchev was the closest there was to a sympathetic character, which was a weakness from a historical perspective. I was born the year before he became Premier so I have no memories of most of his career. But I remember the TV news of him banging his shoe at the UN. And I have vivid memories of the Cuban Missile Crisis and the fear that we had only days to live.
But I still enjoyed the movie. Watched it twice on Showtime.
