I just finished playing them both through to completion. It's a tough choice.

They're very, very different experiences. I'd say that AC2 is the better game, but depending on what you're looking for, it might not be the better game for you.
Dragon Age is longer and offers more replayability, plus expandability (more dlc, a recently announced expansion set, what's looking to be a fantastic modding community). Really though, you're deciding factor shoudl be: do you want classic D&D inspired fantasy RPG with Bioware-style party members and dialogue trees, or do you want to play an action-adventure parkour assassin game with traces of the Da Vinci code?
Also: DA should be played on PC for best results. AC2 is, of course, console.

Assassin's Creed II is a better console game than Dragon Age, I think.

I have them both, and I would definitely go with Assassin's Creed 2.
