Eh, mine always are, somehow. Aemon Send a noteboard - 21/09/2010 02:06:08 PM
Ignoring the analogy, then, what I'm basically trying to say is that when you tell your friends you'll do something, you have a social obligation to stick it out for their sakes. Even if it doesn't go exactly as you thought it would. You can certainly break that obligation for more important matters, but most people wouldn't do so just because they "didn't feel like playing anymore," and that's why I was saying that LL felt like she had to stay. Your friends want to have fun and you told them you'd help, so you don't bail on them just to make yourself happier. That's how decent people operate. :P

As far as why anyone would "trap" themselves with social obligations for the sake of entertainment. . .well, why not? Entertainment is important to people. It's not trivial just because it's "for fun." The average person puts a lot of time and effort into entertainment.

Social obligations exist wherever socializing occurs. *NM* - 20/09/2010 04:41:53 AM 244 Views

Well, you didn't specify meaningful. Even so, I don't understand the antagonism. - 21/09/2010 03:51:17 AM 626 Views
