Doctors don't go around clubbing terminal stage IV cancer patients in the head like a baby seal either.

THe stage IV cancer patient has just as much chance of survival as that fetus. In fact there is MORE rational for the euthanasia of the cancer patient as at least they can ask to be killed, while the child can not. The death of the mother was NOT a certainty. The death of the child, while extremely likely bordering on certainty, was not a certainty. While the child and mother were alive, the moral obligation of the physicians was to do everything they could to save them BOTH.

Source on the relative chances on the survival of "stage IV cancer" and a 17 week old fetus being miscarried.

Further, there are no analogous situations where one can apply what you said. If a Stage 4, terminal cancer patient's living were putting an otherwise healthy person in immanent mortal danger, AND was not sentient, then your analogy would hold.

So, maybe: two conjoined twins, one of which has inoperable, malignant cancer spread too far but otherwise treatable, that has rendered him comatose, and the other twin has, say, stage 2. And, removing the twins would bisect the organs in such a way as one would have to die for the other to live. In that case, yes, almost every doctor would make the call to euthanize the terminal twin to treat the other twin.

One point of note, Ireland, with its strict no abortion law, has a lower instance of maternal death than England which allows elective abortion.

It is real simple, if you don't like the laws in Ireland, don't live there.

This is what betrays you as an Internet Fuckwit. You had a valid, if specious argument above, but then you go full retard and just spit out useless truisms unrelated to your earlier point. Because you see, Fuckwit, laws can be changed if they're unjust or lead to unjust deaths. Good luck comprehending that.
