It's true that the article reaches lunatic-land when it starts about how it'd be even better if all schools were private, but up until that paragraph it certainly has good points.


That's the part I'm addressing. I read the tone of the whole analogy as suggesting that (as opposed to it only coming in at the end) – apparently you read it differently.

The thing about choice between schools is complex, and I can see reasons both for and against, so I left that part alone altogether.
