Sorry but if you are going to claim there is a connection you have to show some dotted lines and not just assume it the absence if not out right defiance of the facts.

Sorry but they left does not get use this incident as wake up call to push their political agenda simply because they falsely claimed something. Keep in mind what they are asking for is the other side be silenced since they all believe that bad air all comes from the right. They want to stop people from criticizing the government. They want to make anti-illegal immigrant comments considered hate speech.

If this was about changing the tone I would agree but all you have to do is look at the hysterics used argue the case to know who they think needs to shut up and play nice. As the orignal article pointed out this is not innocent debate.
