You still have the ability I've lost to argue clearly and in detail without getting angry, and since you're saying everything I would've a lot BETTER than I would've the smart thing is to get out of your way. VERY good point about the nature of sin; each of us has our own unique list of sins, but that doesn't make any of us better, just all of us different. The legal ones are just as sinful, but it's not a theocracy, and even if it were, what is Christianity without choice? I don't single anyone out, and I've no interest in persecuting anyone, but if someone brings it up I'm not going to deny my Lord, or be so worried about making them angry that imperiling their immortal soul is preferable.

If he wants to take me or the letter writer to task for something we've done or condoned that's one thing, but projecting an extremist caricature onto all Christians is no more fair than when it's done to other groups.
