I have boring white appliances. They go better than black or stainless in my old house. I also have an old cast-iron wood cookstove, so I have to kind of make the things I choose for the kitchen seem old or antique-ish.

They work. I don't care otherwise.



Well. I would have a six-burner stove with a larger oven. I make large batches of soup, bake large batches of bread, and do some canning. That requires more work space so everything can be done quicker. And more counter space. MUST HAVE more counter space.

Pfft, white is fine.

I am not selling my house, so I set it up how I bloody want it. If I ever do sell it, they can remodel.

I don't think about it too much.

I think when designing a kitchen you have to build it to suit your needs. Which will suit you better, a double sink, or a huge single sink? Gas or electric range? flooring is more important to me than what the counter is made of. And cabinetry should be practical. etc.
