He's excellent with the dastardly plotting. I wouldn't want to get on his bad side. Capa Raza's rise to power is efficient and brutal, an effective way of ensuring full control.
This book isn't so much a fantasy as an Epic Revenge Tragedy. The setting makes perfect sense for the story, and I've decided it's a nice tribute to renaissance drama.
It's kind of a relief after those chapters to have the quieter ones of set up that follow now.
