Then I guess I'll finish Enduring Love by Ian McEwan, even though I'm hating it.
what you think when you've finished. I was underwhelmed.
I just loathed the characters and how they related to each other. Seemed incredibly unrealistic that their expectations of how the other should react in an extremely unusual situation should drive them apart. And they just didn't talk to each other - even the self-righteous Clarissa didn't actually tell Joe what her issues were when they were together so her letter annoyed the heck out of me.
This is the first of McEwan's books I've not liked, and one of the few books ever that I've actively hated. It's going to a charity shop.
