For me, it's stuff that I've been reading since I was 10 or so.

Apart from Georgette Heyer; she's a few years after that, but still before Harry Potter.

and thus, an affair of a lifetime was born. I keep hearing about Georgette Heyer and her wonderful books. Recommend the best for me?

Hm hm hm. Difficult question. I'm going to go with These Old Shades. But the first one I read was The Nonesuch and that got me addicted.

I love her so much I am currently buying all of the Arrow editions of the books. There are about 30, at £7.99 each...

I was too old when I started Harry Potter for them to be considered nostalgia reading in my case. - 11/05/2011 09:02:46 PM 664 Views
