I went to Borders this past weekend and they had a table set up for some author. I walked by several times and the guy looked really bored. He was idly tapping the table and the woman next to him looked utterly miserable. I didn't see one person walk up to them. But it really doesn't help when your book is about leadership and hiring. I humored the guy though.
Have you ever felt sorry for an author at a book signing?
But I've never tried to make them feel better.

None of the bookstores I've been in have ever had a signing when I've been around. *NM*

Ever heard George R.R. Martin's story about a signing in the 1990s in the St. Louis area?
