I haven't even heard of Tabucchi before.

Neither had I. When Tim & I went to The Radleys book event we spent most of the evening chatting with my Canongate contact, and she mentioned that this was due to be released soon. I told her it sounded interesting then promptly forgot about it till it arrived in the post. I now have to track down his other books.

I'd like to borrow this one, too.
