It was an odd-looking vine, a mottled dark gold and black with large blood red flowers, and it twisted around a marble pillar. The group of people looking at it could find neither a beginning nor an end, though they been searching for some time. One of the braver souls among them stepped forward and touched one of the blossoms. The flower slowly opened and out of it fell a curled up parchment, on which were scribed the following words:

Share your enthusiasm about a new author or your love for a powerful classic. Let everyone know what you thought of the latest bestseller, or declare your undying adoration for those writers overlooked by the mainstream. In short, make posts and enjoy yourself.
We'll be posting interviews and reviews, as well as running a bi-monthly Book Club. These, of course, are in addition to what you write on the Board. We're also there to keep the peace and ensure that the message board rules are followed - we've got some nifty little nanobots helping us with this, so watch out.
