Preferably a book I do not care about. Drood might actually make a good film if done right. It would do away with most of the annoying narrator, and the madness and cool crazy of Victorian London could be done well.


I was actually thinking of Drood when I asked this.


I dread to think of a filmed Gone-Away World or Foucault's Pendulum or *shudder* His Master's Voice.


Definitely agree with you re the first two.


Stage. Although I find I am partial to films of very good stage productions. The transitoriness of a stage production, which I find somewhat appealing on one level, seems like quite a loss if it is really good and there is no way of seeing it again.

Edit: oh, and I like films based on plays, too. If done right.


Sorry, badly-worded question. I meant film versions of the plays, not stage performances that have been filmed.
