I don't think you can count on the Asha'man [as a whole] as being reliable or loyal to Rand. We still have Elaida's prophecy of the Black Tower being "rent in blood and flame with Sisters walking its grounds"... and from what we last saw, that's most likely to arise from internal matters.
Notice how no one argues that the Tower split was anything but a welcome respite that gave the good guys much needed breathing room. The Tower as it existed would have hindered the rise of the people needed to save the world. By contrast, no one says the samething about the Black Tower - the anticipated split is dreaded as another problem for Rand & co.
