RE:

First:

if i am opening a gateway into enemy territory where there may be channelers, at least i would think to invert the weave. This person wouldnt necessarily be in a rush to open a gateway without inverting.

Yeah, but if you're going to attack someone in that same area, you'd probably invert the webs and mask your connection as well. It's not that it's a problem, it's just that it's no different from the basic assumption of death through the One Power.

Second: can be explained by any of the following:

a. he seemed pretty deep in thought as he opened the door and took a step inside.

b.We arent shown that he's looking into the room while stepping.

c. regardless, because the door is small, it would hide the edges of the gateway from view.

Obviously, if there were reason to believe that this had happened, we could search for explanations to this question, but we need good reasons to come to such a conclusion, before we start smoothening out the irregularities. This just increases the improbability of an already improbable scenario.

Third:

I dont have an answer. i believe the answer is the reason for such little description and/or mystery on the kill

Finally:

I believe this theory would support the Graendal camp. it would fit nicely regarding those ideas as to why she would go there.

That's not a reason to believe this happened.
