I was also very interested by the statement that the Dragon's victory could potentially be as dark as his loss.
And I think it ties in to Min's visions of the fireflies trying to match the darkness. Perhaps the collective belief of everyone on the Light's side will be the thing that seals the DO away?


The statement that Rand's victory will be as dark as defeat probably meant that Rand in his mentally deranged state (before Dragonmount and 'veins of gold';) could not completely rid the world of evil. Even if 'hard as cuendillar' Rand won over the DO, it would be at a great price, both in lives as well as maybe Rand himself turning to the Dark.
