The impression I got was that all the Aiel held the Chairhien in contempt for the cutting down of the tree. I wonder why was it that only those allied with Janduin felt strongly enough to do something about it? I can see why they would follow his leadership while others would not but you would think that you could find several Aiel armies in the field all trying to kill the king.
Hey, I was the one that posted the original question about why only 4 clans went. You explanation is good, but for me I still think more would have went, perhaps all because of the issues of honor at stake. There is nothing more important to an Aiel than their honor, and there is nothing that could ever be more offensive to an Aiel than destroying a gift given hundreds of years ago to make a chair. I think every Aiel would have been horrified and wanted to take part in the punishment.
