I could see someone shielding him, then opening a gateway to T'A'R, spending a while torturing him (avoiding all the inconvienent "laws of physics" of the real world), then balefiring him.


when you boil it down, what theories satisfy the "WHERE" component of RJ's statement that the DO could not bring him back based upon not only "HOW" he died but also "WHERE" he died.

1. TAR
2. the skimming place
3. ToG

Balefire only satisfies the "HOW" but not the "WHERE"

i think the hint lies in the way the scene is described--indication that there is something odd about the pantry door, as well as indication that after opening the door, the room was not the pantry.

I can only recall evidence that death in TAR is final--deduced from Perrin's scene in the wolfdream where hopper or stepper (mixed up in my head) tells him such in discussing slayer killing wolves there.

i dont recall evidence that either of the other options cause final death.

are there more options out there?
