Your first post claimed that there was an inarguable plot hole.
This is clearly not the case, there are plenty of explanations around it. There's also a difference between "possible" and "plausible".
It's "plausible" that Graendal moved her lair after Sammael's apparent death/disappearance.
It is NOT "plausible" that Graendal planned the entire chain of events leading to Natrin's Barrow being BF'ed, and then escaped in an elaborate ruse.
Both are of course technically "possible", but I should remind you that it is also "possible" that all of the events of the Wheel of Time series turns out to simply be a dream being had by a giant purple happy butterfly who is, out of some cosmic sense of irony, named Narg. Brandon has not revealed it to us yet, so it's possible. Of course, it's far from plausible.

Additional clues that something doesn't quite add up in Graendal's death

Or it could be due to two different authors writing the story and nothing else. *NM*

Seems absolutely obvious to me - she was tricking Sammael.

Fine, then what if she changed location after Sammael was compromised?

Graendal is Toast with a capital T. Not possibly dead, not likely dead, 100% gone.

The discrepancies are due to the series being over 12 books long...
