Maybe it's just the aspiring filmmaker in me, but as I've re-read the series for the first time in years these past few months, I've been imagining how to adapt it to a (several seasons long) TV miniseries type of project. Including special effects and the like. I think it's very doable without making it look overdone or cheesy. As long as it's in the right hands, of course. And as long as it has a decent budget. Both big ifs. (Or rather, "as long as'."

I kind of doubt anything ever really gets made. But I think I'd be disappointed with settling for an animated version.
