It's funny how two different people can read the same piece and come away with completely different viewpoints. I interpreted that blog post to mean that things are going pretty good, he feels refreshed etc etc but as in any long term project stuff can happen to cause setbacks. This is always the case with EVERY long term project, witness the CERN collider. I think he put that in to remind us of that. I think it will be super cool if he gets AMoLII out by Jan, giving us a year between books but to be truthful I've been more expecting 18 months between the books.
I'm not saying he thinks a delay is inevitable, just that he can imagine one cropping up. It seems striking to me that he never felt the need to make a similar caveat while he was writing TGS, though that could be because Jordan had left more of it in completed form to begin with which left him with less original material to write than he has on his plate now.
I think that's because he now knows how much we hang on every word he posts on the blog. I think b4 he figured we'd know that but now he wants to stop a gazillion comments in Feb that say "You suck! You lied to us! Back in September you said you'd be finished by January! I hate the very air you breathe and will never read one of your books again!"

Yup, I'd be shocked if the prologue weren't released early. The only question is just how early. *NM*
