To me, the post reads like he can forsee potential delays even though he doesn't say so outright--from what I remember, we didn't get a similar post about TGS potentially taking longer than expected.
It's funny how two different people can read the same piece and come away with completely different viewpoints. I interpreted that blog post to mean that things are going pretty good, he feels refreshed etc etc but as in any long term project stuff can happen to cause setbacks. This is always the case with EVERY long term project, witness the CERN collider. I think he put that in to remind us of that. I think it will be super cool if he gets AMoLII out by Jan, giving us a year between books but to be truthful I've been more expecting 18 months between the books.
