...alright so now that my mind is working this way, I'm thinking that perhaps the Amyrlin's anger won't be directed at him. It could be that he and Egwene come to feel angry about the same thing, and in that way he will know her anger.

Oddly enough that's how I've always thought (or hoped) that line would turn out..;that they would be angry about the same thing, so he would KNOW her anger i.e. that he will be able to relate to it, not that she's pissed at him.
