Especially since we already know there are Darkfriend Aiel - it just makes sense that the Aiel aristocracy, including "women (Egwene) liked and worked with" have been subverted by the Shadow.
I thought this was a lesson that all the characters needed to learn, but it seems that only Egwene and Elayne have learned it so far - the mental balance to learn that someone has betrayed everything you live and hope for without letting it destroy or unbalance you.
Plus, Min's Viewing of her was similar to the Aes Sedai (two of whom we now know were Black Ajah) - "she would serve Rand in her own fashion".

I wondered at the phrasing of that passage ...

RJ was Aes Sedai to the core!

It's funny, but I know very few women (none) IRL who act like AS, but RJ definitely fits their MO

I don't think I've ever heard a woman actually "sniff" at someone either

I, too, have suspicions ...

I agree!

Wow, you should add a spoiler alert to your thread.

Why couldn't have Elza got them?

It was brought up a while back in one of the earlier discussion threads

Be more careful. Spoilers are freely allowed now. *NM*

Exactly. I have this thing with theories ...

then how do you read the forums at all?

My gut feeling tells that Sorilea isn't a DF
13/01/2010 11:24:33 AM

I don't think so
13/01/2010 06:02:40 PM

Actually it was very much like a DF
13/01/2010 10:21:46 PM

I don't buy it

the thread started by pointing out Verin implies Sorilea may not be on the same side...

Actually, it's not about who stole it. It's about how Elza knew where it was AND

Not quite, IMO
13/01/2010 11:53:46 PM

Elza already had the DB when she freed Semirhage from captivity

Sorilea never saw the wards unraveled. And I'm pretty sure they were inverted.

inverted yes, but she was standing right there when Cadsuane unwove them

As Sorilea closed the door behind the three of them, Cadsuane disarmed the box's traps.

The point was that Sorilea knew two key pieces of information from that moment
14/01/2010 03:38:27 PM

She knew only one, and that was known to Bair too...

How do you know Caddy embraced the source only then?

so you contend that she was walking around holding the Source the whole time?

I think Bsand or RJ stated that Shaidar Haran could not do that himself, which is why he needed Elza

I disagree that Verin would have tried to create suspicion or discord.
14/01/2010 03:16:32 AM

Yet Verin herself tells us that she did things for the Shadow...

that's exactly the type of foreshadowing I would expect
14/01/2010 06:48:25 PM

IMO either she or Bair are a DF
