I always assumed that the shadow equiped trollocks and myrdrall with shock-lances, wich I think is kind of like a gun, only with more One power, though I suppose giving your average trollock a shock-lance would be pretty dangerous
thats assuming WOP Trollocs were smart enough to use shocklances, to me the name sounds like something that is fiddly to use, or other AOL weapons. the world of the wheel seems to agree with you. it mentions "while it is certain they weilded more deadly weapons in the AOL than the present day" it dosen't mention shocklances anywhere in the Fade section which i think points to them using shadow weapons that could use human souls as well. from what the book seems to suggest the making of Fade Blades didn't come from nowhere.
