I would agree with Mats inaginary friend. Aes Sedai have not had any real channenges for so long they are very much behidn the times. The only real challenge comes from either a man who has learned to channell and and a more successful false dragon.

With the first the man might be scared out of his wits (see early Rand) and have no real idea of what he is doing. Two or three Aes Sedai should be more than enough to overwhelm him. In some cases the male even surrenders willingly as Cadsuanai told Rand.

With a more successful false dragon they gather 13 and overwhelm him, no skill or finess required.

TGS Spoiler

This was shown quite clearly when the head of the Green Ajah in the Tower who we presume has some ability in fighting being head of the Battle Ajah, was absolutely no match for a combat trained Damane.

The damane might not be able to link but with the way there are always battles and rebellions going on in Seanchan they have plenty of chances to practice their skills and improve them.
