It is quite a logical jump from "Slayer did some assassinations" to "Slayer is the primary assassin for the Dark One."

Regardless, if this was so clear, I doubt readers would have spent years going back and forth on it.

As said above, I'm not convinced and I've seen better arguments for Slayer being the murderer at Theoryland than any you've posed thus far.
