Bryne said that Murandy has considerable numbers of men. People like Rand and Elayne don't seem to think that Murandy is insignificant.

And if Demandred has additionally many or most of those Dragonsworn bands under his control, which are all over the west of the Westlands, he could provoke even more chaos to support the Shadowspawn armies plus Taim & cronies and other DF.
