So the debate about her truthfulness is over...right? When she said "Moiraine sent me"..She was flat-out lyng. This was a big topic for argument for a long time and yet I have not seen one of you "Verin didn't lie!" supporters groveling or eating crow.
...
Any ways what I'm asking is if this is settled now...Verin lied to Perrin and Ingtar correct?..Anyone out there see something wrong with this idea?

I'm not sure it would be settled if we had a direct quote from RJ!
The reveal is certainly good evidence to support her lying, but it still isn't certain. The BA don't just go around lying, even to people who they think won't notice. I don't think there is one example of a BA lying when not cornered.
The clues that she might not have lied still apply. Her comment was a planned explanation, which she managed to say before Ingtar asked a question. That would certainly be enough to convince anyone interested that it wasn't a direct lie. It doesn't really matter whether or not Verin thought it was, but we also know that she thinks of the typical justifications for any half truths she says.
IMO, Verin probably didn't lie.
I wonder what else us readers have done this with..Asmo's death? Who Messana is? Are there maybe obvious clues staring us in the face that we refuse to see?
There are obvious clues for multiple people. RJ throws a good red herring.
