The 'we can reach the top together' dream was about a seanchan woman who doesn't have to be Toun. Frankly she is still far from the state of mind in which she could/would accept anyone who can channel being free. The attach on the WT is a proof of this. And Eggy didn't see the Seanchan attach as a favor done to her.
And what conflicted Rand was his need to believe that the Seanchan were evil in order for him to blast them to hell. His was an internal conflict of wanting to destroy what stood in his way while knowing that they weren't evil. It wasn't that the Seanchan were so good that it was out of this world. Mat lived in the city under Seanchan for a month and he didn't seem to think it was that different.
