slayer murders wolves permanently in the dream world, and leads the darkhounds. it's definitely as much about perrin as lan and it could be either one of them that deals with him.
also, perrin needs something interesting to do. i find lan interesting without dealing with slayer. perrin on the other hand... i don't care about his army. mat's the battle guy. running around with wolves killing trollocs is neat but he needs something more than just that.
