I think Sanderson probably just took sarcasm too far to be honest, but there doesn't seem to be wriggle room in the oaths for this kind of statement...


I agree with others. To bypass the Oaths you merely need to believe that you aren't telling a lie. Therefore when you say they you hadn't noticed, but you're trying to say 'obviously I noticed', the words form.
