With the amount of domane the Seanchan have there are bound to be a number of domane that are capable enough to make gateways large enough for wagons. If they are reasonable efficient they should be able to get at least 2 wagons through in a minute. 120 wagons in an hour per gateway should be able to supply quite a large army. On top of this, what is stopping them from making slightly narrower but longer wagons? The Seanchan have been portrayed as extremely efficient and organized. They could have enough new wagons that are specially made for gateway travel in very little time at all. They are going to be able to move large well supplied armies great distances in very little time.
Seriously? If Rand isn't strong enough by himself to do this there is no damane who would be able to. It's just not possible for one person to do it.
The former leader of the White Tower along with all other captives will inform them that there is no super weapon. There spy networks will reveal no evidence of any super weapon. They are going to have serious doubts about it's existence especially with all the abnormal incident that they have seen happen. (towns appearing and disappearing and such)
They have all the evidence they need that it does exist... they experienced the "weapon" first hand! They have no reason to believe that the weapon doesn't exist. They fought AS through the Gateway before the explosion and have no reason to think it was anything other than a deliberate weaponized use of the OP.
Are they magically going to realize that it was someone pulling apart a weave that suddenly became a weapon? Only the WO know this skill so it seems unlikely that damane are out there innovating with the Power. This is a highly cynical and paranoid civilization that believes the AS have a lot of control over the populace, they are predisposed to believe that any information they get is tainted.
Tuon seemed to be in favour of using the healing, and as she is the ultimate ruler and all. It may take a while for people to get used to the idea but once people start living that would have otherwise died, the practice will take root. The troops will follow orders.
The text is pretty clear that not only do the common folk fear the OP, but that the Royalty goes out of their way to keep things like this. Healing would only make the OP "normal" or "friendly". Something the Blood would not want. Tuon has clearly known about Healing for some months, yet the man who leads her personal guard is uneasy with the concept of being Healed by the Power. Believe what you will, but until this is written in one of the texts I'm not buying for a second that the Seanchan will adopt or view this knowledge as useful.
The people may be distrustful but they also fear the AS. The new information will make them seem much more fallible, much more human.
Right, because the average villager in Illian even has a clue that some Amyrlin was the puppet of her Hall and thus the mistakes she made were really due to the Hall making her do them... again, useless historical cover-ups aren't something I see the Seanchan doing backflips over. Not to mention this will take months and months to come into the open since Elaida is the only prisoner we are aware of that has any knowledge of the 13th.
The raid did extensive damage to the White Tower, captured many AS including the leader of the white tower, gave them access to a huge amount of information, gave them reasonable doubt to the existence of the super weapon, and they also acquired many new weaves including the all important gateways.
Egwene and company took 10 damane captives and it was expressly said that it was a risk to take them prisoner (easier to kill them instead), so odds are they killed at least 10-20 more. Factor in that there were probably at least a few killed on the 30 raken that went down and the Seanchan lost more women than they gained in this raid. They picked up Traveling and traded a minimum 1:1 damane:AS. AS are less useful as weapons than damane.
Looking at it from the Seanchan side. They gained access to some very powerful weaves, the most important being the one for gateways, the one they would have been willing to trade or sacrifice all their raken for. They captured the leader of the White tower, gained invaluable information (troop strength, tactics, AS spy networks procedures, 13th depositry). With all the new information they are to be reasonably sure that the super weave doesn't exist. Oh, and with the new gateway weave they can now move vast armies across great distance in very little time. They can also move large amount of supplies wherever they want or need whenever they want. A very successful raid in deed!
Imagine if they had acquired an angreal or sa'angreal on top of all that.
Imagine if they had acquired an angreal or sa'angreal on top of all that.
They gained a few weaves and about 30 channelers, lost about 30 channelers and 30 raken in the process. Considering this a huge success rather than a draw is not IMO an accurate accounting of the facts involved.
The information Elaida may share regarding the 13th is less than useless since they have no PROOF to support it other than an insane and disgraced woman that her own people have no desire to rescue. They will look at Elaida as just the most feral of the pack of feral dogs in Tar Valon.
Who is to say they don't have (sa)angreal themselves? They seem to have all manner of ter'angreal at hand... not a huge leap that they have the others. In which case Traveling could be more effective for them once they figure out it's mostly a matter of strength.

IMO the Seanchan take over Randland, but Rand forces them to drop the damane practices.
