Obviously the question that should be asked is "Are you one of the Chosen of the Great Lord?" (Assuming Mesaana has had to swear on the oath rod to keep up her disguise)
The Forsaken do not see themselves as Forsaken, Black Ajah, Darkfriends, but as Chosen of the Great Lord. Another question one could ask, considering the Forsaken's general distain for White Tower Aes Sedai, would be "Are you an Aes Sedai of the White Tower?" Judging from the reactions of Lanfear and Moghiedien, Mesaana would have to answer 'no' unless she has literally taken the body of an Aes Sedai.

Mesaana was easily able to get past the Oath Rod.

I'm not convinced. I don't believe she'd want to subject herself to being sworn.

Not just that, but in the AoL, the Oath Rod was used to "bind criminals". *NM*

None of this is a twisting of the Oaths. Her actions stick to the letter of the Oaths.
