The forsaken were once a favorite part of the series for me, and I enjoyed the creeptastic feeling they brought along. I'm sure that's why I'm a bit disappointed now- I mean, I loved the first book with Ishamael and Balthamel/Someshta. (Hopefully it's not been so long since I've read that that I've messed up all the names.) But since then it's been somewhat downhill in the intrigue/creepy department. I'm not even entirely sure I remember the Sammael death scene.' />
