Why did Demandred start to control Shara not until some time in LoC? The other Forsaken already plotted since TDR or before. What did Demandred do then?
Graendal's comment that the Westlands are the battlefield and the fact that all other Forsaken are in the Westlands, indicates that Demandred is there as well. If Demandred stays in Shara, Aran'gar's comment in WH, ch.14, that Demandred and Osan'gar were responsible for watching Rand & Graendal's comment that Demandred had people searching for Rand, doesn't make much sense. We also see that Demandred wears Westlander clothes, know that he has some followers in the Westlands and apparently did something in the south of the Westlands with his "friends" and "proxies".
All this indicates to me that Demandred is in the Westlands. Like Seanchan, Shara was just thrown into chaos by the Shadow. Considering the DO's powers, the Shadow doesn't need a big Sharan army anyway.
Most likely Demandred was behind the Dragonsworn and later took Murandy as well.
