However if my theory is correct, is it possible that channeling so much TP, so near Shayol Ghul might strengthen the DO wound so much that it will burst open and kill Rand. Or atleast make him fall into near-death coma which may or may not be healed by Nynaeve.

If channeling the TP near SG would cause his wound to bust open and make him comatose, then he wouldn't be able to kill the DO or seal the Bore or whatever. And since we know the good guys will win, then that doesn't seem likely.

I suppose he could do his big magic, and the thing could bust open while he was doing it. And he could complete the deed and only then double over and go comatose. But since we have the prophecies of him standing on his own grave and wandering around blind and stuff, I'm guessing he survives TG, if a bit beat up.

I keep thinking "his blood on the rocks of Shayol Ghul" will be one of those pesky ways in which the words of prophecy are accurate, but mean something other than what we assume. Like maybe the Aiel are "his blood" or maybe Elayne's baby is "his blood" or maybe, like you say, his wound busts open on SG and he bleeds everywhere, but it doesn't kill him.

Standing on his own grave already happened ... *NM* - 29/11/2009 05:05:19 AM 176 Views
Technically, it happened right when he was born. *NM* - 29/11/2009 05:43:34 AM 169 Views

I don't think Rand channeled the True Power. - 29/11/2009 06:36:31 PM 476 Views

Of course, Moridin can't give him permission. Only the DO can. *NM* - 29/11/2009 07:27:05 PM 367 Views

There is no doubt that Rand channeled the TP - 29/11/2009 07:55:02 PM 474 Views
