I made a plan. Plans are better than resolutions. I will buy, but not read A Gathering Storm – I presume it is aGS? I will wait and buy, but not read ToM. When the US edition of aMoL is in the hands of the editors and printers and there will be no more delay, I will start at the beginning and read the whole lot.

If you have the time though I'd personally recommend re-reading the series now and then hitting the final two books as they're released. I also felt the pace slowed considerably after book 6 (though no other author could touch early WoT for me) and it took me over 18 months to complete my re-read for The Gathering Storm! I don’t doubt your commitment but the sooner you start the better??!
But more than that... everyone has their own opinion of course... but for me The Gathering Storm was the best book in the series for years. Maybe even the best. I loved almost every chapter in it and now I’m really enjoying reading all the new theories and discussions that have resulted from it. I know Sanderson has said that Jordan planned to leave some plotlines unresolved, but I don’t think we’ll see the same level of discussion after the final volume has been published and so these two years will be the last opportunity for such discussion. Even if you're not a die-hard participant, it would be a shame to miss out on it??
