A channeler cannot even Travel to the nearest planet on his own. You need a circle for that.
And to reach another solar system, you need a circle of like 72 people (the maximum possible size). To Travel across the galaxy, you need to planet hop. Presumably, you can eventually hop to a solar system with a Black Hole.
But since the Forsaken aren't able to form such large circles - at least not during the last 3000 years, it is effectively impossible for them to make gateway over the distance required to reach a Black Hole.
