The BA Hunters and their methodology (tGS spoilers)

So, the method of hunting BA is pretty simple:
1. The Hunters suspected BA reswore some oath to the DO, so they use the Oath Rod to remove that oath (they didn't know what oath it was).
2. Make the BA reswear the First Oath. Then force them to say "I am not BA/Darkfriend"
But here's the rub... let's use Talene as an example. The Hunters "trapped" her. They explained exactly what it is they were doing and how they would do it.
Now, as we learned from Verin in tGS, the Darkfriend/BA oath is to "not betray the DO until the hour of death" (or something similar).
So, wouldn't Talene have been prevented from unswearing her Oath to the DO? Especially since she knew what it meant, after having it explained to her?
The same can be said for Sheriam, and a number of others who "waited their turn" at the end of tGS. Shouldn't they have had some sort of physical resistance to unswearing the Shadow Oath? Like the one when an AS tries to lie or attack an innocent person with the One Power?
Just found it a bit strange (i.e., VERY DISAPPOINTING) that the Oath to the DO could be removed without much ado.

That and any oath on the Oath Rod relies very heavily on the swearer's interpretation of the oath.

True. There's a scene where Cadsuane is told about Aiel in the city and she says "I hadn't noticed."

There's reason to believe that if any AS removed the Oaths from themselves, it's Cadsuane. *NM*
