However you want to look at it, there cannot be more than one, or maybe two, Seanchan women who match or exceed her. But she is still not treated as anything special. All that says is that the Seanchan don't care about strength.



I'm sure Tuon doesn't know that Alivia exists, and that only proves my point. Tuon has six personal damane. If she searched for the strongest to be attached to her, she'd have found Alivia. Unless you going to make the ridiculous claim that all six of Tuon's damane are stronger than Alivia.

Clearly, a damane's strength means nothing to their placement. Except if they can make a'dam or mine metals or make fireworks, and these are skills, not strength based.

As such, the Seanchan don't seem like a culture where the strongest and most capable are kept for the private use of nobles. Alvia is overkill for anybodies protection. On the field, she is a deadly asset, as she proved with the difficulty the Asha'man had in capturing her. Tuon is not the kind of woman to keep that kind of power for herself.
