I thought the dream-scene between Rand and Moridin was absolutely amazing.
Sanderson has brought something to Wot which I have been begging for for years. To put it simply, he has changed one of the Forsaken from being a cardboard cutout villain and made us see him as a human being.
And he has done this with the arch-villain himself.
Moridin: "I'm so tired. Was that you or was that me? I could throttle Semirhage for what she did."
None of the usual bravado, or insane megalomania or cackling laughter. None of the usual empty threats or lofty grandstanding.
For the first time, I have seen a glimpse of Elan Morin Tedronai the human being. He is frustrated, he is tired, he is somewhat depressed. A sense of melancholy acceptance of his fate even creeps into his tone.
I loved this scene. If Wot had more of this type of writing from Book 1, it would have been a better series.
Please let us get more of the same, this time from Demandred.

Agreed. This is why I've always loved Lanfear and Asmodean, too - we actually saw humanity in them

Actually, the Guide has more dimension in it's portrayal of most of them than the actual books.
