Whether it was because of Sanderson, or because of RJ, I don't know, but it definitely felt like, "Hey! You guys remember this, from that book? And this, from that book?"
There was Hurin, who hadn't even been mentioned since the very beginning of tDR.
Bela, of course.
A conversation between Tam and Rand.(!)
The sa'angreal used to heal Mat.
Rand talking about the blademaster he killed in tGH
Nynaeve viciously defending Mat, and how he rescued her.
Finally, an explanation of Verin's behavior (sidenote- perhaps Verin was directed to send that draghkar after Moiraine?)
Mat and Thom reminiscing about being on Domon's ship, and playing for their food.
Mat thinking about the dagger, which I don't think he's mentioned for half a dozen books.
Even Gareth and Siuan bickering and reconciling over her oath counts- remember, that oath was made back in tFoH!
I'm sure there's even more- these were just off the top of my head. It definitely felt, at times, that Sanderson was a fellow fan that was going, "Remember this? Remember this? Remember this?" Not in a bad way, though!

but I still say Bela and Hurin weren't one... Hurin was always planned, and I don't get why anyone thinks Bela was a Sanderson thing. Read the series and try to find a book that she's not in, other than WH. I always loved how RJ included her. So, for some reason it annoys me that people think he wouldn't have put her in.
But ya, when Thom and Mat were reminiscing, everyone and their mom were thinking about Moiraine (even Siuan who never had before), and everyone remembering the good old days. Those all felt like Sanderson but I liked it anyway.

Actually it wouldn't surprise me if she was at the Last Battle

Hm. Let me explain. I meant it more like... when you watch the season finale of a show.
