Which is why the apparent change in explanation was striking for me. Up until now, it had always been perfectly clear that balefire did nothing more than kill you backwards in time. This was supported by both the books and the authour, as both of us have mentioned.

Which is why I figured it might be an error in Brandon Sanderson's interpretation.

At least now she is free of the Dark One and can perhaps be reborn at a later stage and have a new beginning.


Unless Shai'tan reincarnated her, wouldn't that be the case under any other sort of death?
