I wish it were a larger scale attack with a more epic battle, but it brought her story full circle.
It became obvious that Egwene's opponent is Mesaana in that Egwene's reign as Amyrlin is after almost all the older Aes Sedai have been captured by Seanchan leaving thousands of Novices and Accepted who will only have known her leadership. Contrast this with Mesaana's Children, and it sory of clinches their opposition. Too bad that Mesaana was called "a second rate Chosen" by one of the best, but at least it looks like there are more battles in Egwene's future - at least one against the Darkfriend Aes Sedai and the Darkfriend Ashaman. I have a feeling Mesaana will go out with a whimper rather than a bang, though - I think she'll be the only Forsaken to be tried, Stilled and executed. All that being said, she is the first Aes Sedai in thousands of years who has earned the respect of the Aiel, and she'll definitely raise the standard to a point where the Oaths may no longer be necessary.
On a sadder note, it is clear that her days of adventuring are definitely over. But, technically, they have been over since the middle of the series, but even her time with the Wise Ones was rather stable.
This is one of my favorite parts:
"Well," she (Adelorna) said. "You have done nicely to organize, Egwene, though it's good that an Aes-"
Egwene froze. Those eyes were so calm, so in control. "I am in command until this threat passes. You will call me Mother. Give me penance later if you must, but for now my authority must be unquestioned. Is that clear?"
"Yes, Mother," Adelornia found herself saying, shocked.
Second Favorite Scene - Cadsuane breaks Semirhage by spanking her in front of the other Sisters and common servants.

"Those who think they have no time for bodily exercise will sooner or later have to find time for illness."
