He wasn't shielded against the OP. Semirhage would've wanted to be able to use his OP.

However, she was only controlling his OP. She was using it to prevent him from using saidin.

Think of it as a loophole. She was using the bracelet with the instruction "he can't channel saidin".

...And he used the TP. And, before she could "re-code" the bracelet, he was free.

And I think the DO let him use the TP. It's the DO's power. He can do what he wants with it.

What better use than tempting Rand to start using this "drug"? He can cut it off whenever he wants. Rand may start to enjoy it too much. LTT, and thus Rand, knew what it was.

So, question is, what was the DOs true objective? Moridin seems ticked Semirhage failed the first time. So, the second time, is his objective the same as the first, or has it changed to try to push Rand (successfully) over the edge?
